Attach the cable to the fish tape after the blade of the fish tape has been retrieved through the wall opening uncoil enough nm cable to complete the cable run you are planning.
Easiest way to fish wire through wall.
Place the electrical tape over the end of the fish tape eye and wire.
Thread wires past insulation.
If there is no cover press the wire against a stud and use it as a guide.
Wrap the bare wire through the fish tape eye and twist the end of the wire around itself.
Run electrical cable through walls and across ceilings without tearing them apart.
Pull the wiring through the wall by reeling in the fish tape bringing it out through the hole for the electrical box.
Attach the wiring in the 3 by 5 inch hole to the end of the fish tape.
If the wall contains insulation try to fish the wire between the outer paper or plastic cover and the wall.
A short length of clothes hanger wire can sometimes make it easier to hook the fish tape and extract it through the wall opening.
Reel and wind the fish tape which will pull the electrical wire along with it as it snakes through the wall and ceiling.
If you have access to where the flex bit pops out attach your wire directly to the bit and fish the wire through that way.

Twist the wire and tape it up to make sure it doesn t come off when you re pulling it back through.
Pull an additional 2 to 3 feet.
