The lp is housed in a gatefold sleeve printed on a black matte cardboard which also includes two stickers and two original posters with art by hipgnosis.

The full record was remastered from the original analogue tapes by james guthrie joel plante and bernie grundman. Originally released on 1 march 1973 on the label harvest it built on ideas explored in the band s earlier recordings and live shows but departs from instrumental thematic by founding member syd barrett. The dark side of the moon was also re released in 2003 on 180 gram virgin vinyl mastered by kevin gray at acoustech mastering and included slightly different versions of the original posters and stickers that came with the original vinyl release along with a new 30th anniversary poster.
